This document aims to present a theoretical and practical analysis of the specific pedagogical approaches proposed in D4.1 (Self-Directed Learning, Gamification and Augmented Reality) in working with users with special needs. The analysis was made regarding the four types of disabilities found in partner institutions where NEWTON piloting will be achieved: hearing impairments, visual impairments, neuromotor disorders and intellectual disabilities. In order to highlight these aspects, we have analysed the opinions of teachers, qualified in working with children with special educational needs, regarding the benefits and limits that the proposed approaches may have on learning progress and achievement.
